PERFORMERTRACK - ‘101 UPDATES: THE WEBWARE ADVANTAGE’

Los Angeles, CA November 20, 2008 – In less than 2 months since Holdon Log, LLC’s launch of PerformerTrack (www.PerformerTrack.com), the Webware designed specifically for performers to log, track and manage their careers, the company has announced the 101st update to the online application.

A majority of the updates and new features that have been added were based on requests from PerformerTrack’s ever-growing user-base. Kristina Hughes, Holdon Log's President & COO says, "It is exciting to have a member request a particular keyword or function and within 24-48 hours we have it there available to them and all of our users so that everyone benefits." Ms. Hughes continues, "Having been in the stand-alone software business for over five years prior to releasing PerformerTrack it is easy to see the clear advantages to now being an online application."

Brian Vermeire, Holdon Log's CEO states, "With PerformerTrack being an online application it allows our development team to be creative and nimble so as to quickly release updates and new features. There are never any long waiting periods between upgrades, which is so inherently cumbersome and problematic with stand-alone software."

PerformerTrack, the Webware designed to "Simplify the Business of Show", retails for an average monthly subscription of only $9.95 USD, which includes all new updates and features, as well as client data redundantly stored on secure servers at a tier 4 data center.

About Holdon Log, The Standard In Performer Organizational Tools:

Holdon Log, LLC (www.HoldonLog.com), the parent company of PerformerTrack, was founded in 2001 by performers (actors, models, comedians and background artists) who realized the need for organizational tools specifically designed for entertainers. The company launched with a single, paper-based audition organizer entitled Actors' Holdon Log.They have since expanded their paper-based product line to include Young Actors, Background Artists, Models, Live Performers and Pageant Contestants, along with Submission Tracker, Events & Training and Booked Projects logbooks.

In 2003, the company revolutionized the Performing Industry by releasing the one-of-a-kind software, ActorTrack ~ "The Standard In Career Management Software For Actors".
ActorTrack was the #1 selling performer-related software program for over 5 years, having assisted thousands of entertainers daily with being better organized!

With the launch of their web-based business tool for entertainers, PerformerTrack, Holdon Log has proven their dedication to provide the creative community with bold and innovative organizational solutions. Now performers of all types (actors, models, comedians, musicians, singers, dancers, etc.) can better maximize their potential in "the business of show".

What is PerformerTrack Webware?

Some performers have been asking so here's our Core Concept:

Since the beginning of Holdon Log, LLC (our parent company), the launch of its initial software product "ActorTrack", and now with the release of its massive upgrade, "PerformerTrack" our pursuit was (and still is) to conquer the complexity of a performer's business through simple and efficient use of technology.

Every performer is essentially a business owner in charge of "You, Inc.". PerformerTrack is designed to handle the business needs of "You, Inc." from the moment "You, Inc." begins taking classes as a budding performer all the way until "You, Inc." steps out of the limo and accepts a show business award!Like any business, as a performer you must track where you have been, where you are going, the contacts you make, the money coming in, the money going out, etc., then analyze statistical data so you know what is or isn't working for you in your business and finally strategize accordingly to maximize your success.

Unfortunately, we often encounter performers who excel in "doing the art"......but lack in "doing the business". Not surprising, since the effort required to be a true "working performer" is a dreary, exhausting, left-brained chore ...not the fun, creative and artistic right-brained pleasure that performers are naturally gifted at.PerfomerTrack takes the pain out of the mundane, left-brained tasks and makes doing the "business of show" simple, effective and, believe it or not, fun to do!We too are entertainers and are constantly finding the need for services that we are building. They come from common sense real world experiences as working performers, no obscure ideas, no mystique.

We believe in creating simple, intuitive, and easy to use solutions for performers. Like you, we are tired of knock-off software products that try to be the solution, but are laden with ill-conceived layout, confusing design and unnatural work-flow that ultimately end up being the problem in-and-of itself.

"Everything should be madeas simple as possible, but not simpler."~ Albert Einstein~

We wholeheartedly abide by this quote! Every decision that we make, we measure it with the yardstick of simplicity. Our continued approach in designing PerformerTrack is with a simple-to-use interface, but with a complex, intricate workhorse of a database running in the background. While being simple, everything we build inside PerformerTrack is with the User in mind. We know that between classes, coaching lessons, auditions, call times, etc. performers do not have the time to learn a complex application. All designs are centered around the way the business works. We have taken it upon ourselves to find the best way for functions within PerformerTrack to be accomplished; no convoluted choices, no obscure concepts. Our goal is to "simplify the business of show" so the focus on "You, Inc." can be on "doing the art" while efficiently "doing the business" that is required to be a success!

Holdon Log is Mentioned in "How To Be A Working Actor" 5th Edition!

The following are excerpts from the newly released 5th Edition of "How To Be A Working Actor".

"From now on you are responsible for overseeing your professional expenditures. The job can be made easy with ActorTrack, career management software for actors that is available at www.HoldonLog.com. This user-friendly program helps you keep track of all appointments, audition-callback-booking details, income and expenses, and contacts. An overview feature makes it easy to track where your money has gone at the end of each year."

"As you can see from the paperwork involved in beginning your job search, it is important for you to keep a file of all the people you try to see. Actors use index cards, a personal computer program, an accountant’s notebook-what’s important is that you know to whom you sent your photo, when, whether you received a response, and what it was.

You’ll probably be sending different packets of your material to producers of regional theaters, industrial shows, to people you know-the possibilities are endless. And at times the paperwork will seem to be, too.

To lighten the load, you might want to consider ActorTrack, a comprehensive record-keeping program created by two working actors, Kristina Hughes and Brian Vermeire, that allows the actor to keep daily records of everything, from appointments and submissions to income and expenses, reports on meetings, mailings, what you sent to whom, callback reminders, and more. You can visit their Web site at www.HoldonLog.com.

We cannot overstate the benefits of keeping records-not only when you’re trying hard to contact people who can employ you, but throughout your career. In addition to keeping track of your income and expenses, you’ll also want to keep tabs on the work you’re doing, as well as the work you want to be doing."

A WORD FROM
KRISTINA HUGHES, PRESIDENT & COO
HOLDONLOG, LLC

WOW! What an honor to be mentioned by name in the 5th Edition of "How To Be A Working Actor"!

I’ve been a huge fan of this book since my senior year at Salve Regina University when it was required reading. This book proved incredibly helpful when I made the transition from part-time actor/model/spokesperson and full time student to full-fledged performer.

I must say it was a thrill to meet Mari Lyn and Lynne in NYC a few years ago while we were offering an in store demo of ActorTrack at the Drama Book Shop as these Industry pros helped me to understand the Business and appreciate my talents at the same time.

I’m very flattered that not only the company I co-founded (Holdon Log-The Standard in Performer Organizational Tools) is mentioned, but me, as a performer by name. Now that I’ve “upgraded” to the 5th edition, I certainly look forward to helping spread-the-word about this great resource!
